Gerald Eugene Kershisnik Rock Springs- Gerald Eugene Kershisnik, 68, of Rock Springs died Monday August 3, 2015 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah after a short illness. He was a lifelong resident of Rock Springs. He was born November 27,1946 in Rock Springs, the son of Victor W. Kershisnik and Kathleen G. Lawton Kershisnik. He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1965. He also attended Western Wyoming Community College and Utah State University College receiving his bachelors degree in forestry. He married Veda Ransom on June 4, 1968 in Preston, Idaho. He worked for FMC for 43 years, retiring in 2009. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Korea. He was a member of the Catholic Church. His interests were hunting, fishing, reading and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife Veda Kershisnik of Rock Springs; son Michael Kershisnik of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter Kauleen Adiutori and husband David of Lenexa, Kansas; brother Jim Kershisnik and wife Sally of Riverton, Utah; sister Dianne Blazovich and husband Jim of Rock Springs; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Kathleen Kershisnik. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m Friday, August 7, 2015 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Rev. Jesryll Intes will be officiating. A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m Thursday, August 6, 2015, and Friday 1 hour to prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
