Mildred Alberta Pittman

Mildred Alberta Pittman Rock Springs - Mildred Alberta Pittman was born on August 20, 1917 and was called home to the Lord on August 26, 2016 at the age of 99. She was born in Atlanta Georgia to Clifford and Alberta Garner and lived there before joining her son and wife in Farson, Wyoming. When her health declined, she moved into an assisted-living facility. She enjoyed making new friends and never met a stranger. Mildred worked for the United States government for 33 years, shipping supplies all over the world. After retirement, she enjoyed singing in the choir, dancing, and being with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Pittman, step-son Bubba Pittman, and granddaughter Tracy McGowan. Mildred is survived by her son Clifford “Mac” McGowan and wife Delores “Dee”; grandson Robert McGowan and significant other Brandi with great-grandson Victor; grandson Patrick McGowan; granddaughter Shaunna (McGowan) Bennett and husband Riley, with great-grandson Finnian; step-daughter Sis Jenning and husband Wesley, with granddaughters Susan, Denise, Donna, Dana and their families. Mildred requested to be cremated and her ashes will be interred beside her late husband Harry in Atlanta, Georgia.
