Rock Springs – Alois J. Hudachko, 85, a lifelong resident of Rock Springs died Sunday August 22, 2004 at his home. Alois was born November 1, 1918 in Rock Springs the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Millburn Hudachko. He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1936. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. On November 16, 1946 he married Zelma M. Burlech in Rock Springs. He flew 96 missions during World War II and was shot down twice, once over Belgium and once over France without any injury. He was a member of the American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. His interest included sports, reading and his family. Survivors include his wife Zelma of Rock Springs; three daughters, Theresa L. Pitchford and husband Darrell of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Joyce M. Hensley and husband Rod of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Susan K. Rose and husband Todd of Rock Springs; one sister, Theresa Butler and husband Boyd of Orange, California; five grandchildren, Bruce Pitchford, Cathy Zanetti, Chris Pitchford, Aaron Rose, and Ashley Knudsen; five great-grandchildren, Brett, Shiloh, and Taylor Martinez, Tristen Pitchford, Kylee Knudsen; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Elizabeth Spaeth and Josaphine Potter; one brother, Thomas Hudachko Jr. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Out of respect of his wishes, no funeral services will be held.
