Clayton B. Holman

Green River, WY – Clayton B. Holman, 87, of Green River died Sunday March 21, 2004 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, Rock Springs. Clayton was born September 5, 1916 in Andover, Maine the son of Harold Holman Sr. and Agnes Harlow Holman. He attended schools in Andover, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Maine. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On June 8, 1958 he married Sylvia Wood in Wilton, Maine. He was employed as a millwright until his retirement in 1980. His interest included stock car racing, hunting, water skiing, auto mechanics, his family and grandchildren. Clayton is survived by his wife Sylvia Holman of Green River; two daughters, June H. Hoar and husband William of Farmington, Maine, and Lori A. Paisley of Green River; one son, Brent Holman of Green River; three sisters, Barbara Kendall of Brunswick, Maine, Joyce Pepin and husband Paul of Newport, Maine, and Sylvia Gordon and husband Lincoln of Auborn, Maine; six grandchildren, Duane Trask and wife April of North Jay, Maine, Sarah Behr and husband Christian of Winthrope, Maine, Katie Trask of Bangor, Maine, Amanda Trask of North Jay, Maine, Aaron C. F. Moran, and Micah Paisley both of Green River; two great-grandchildren, Deaken Trask, and Bryson Bailey of North Jay, Maine; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Hazel Hardy, four brothers, Kenneth Holman, Harold Jr, Elwood, and Lauren. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Friends may call 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the home of Brent Holman, 655 Clark St. Green River. Memorial services and inurnment will be held at a later date in Wilton, Maine.
