James LaMar Crane

December 7, 1940 — March 6, 2022

James LaMar Crane, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Green River, WY surrounded by his family on March 6, 2022.  

He was born in Gunnison, Utah on December 7, 1940, the son of Kenneth S. And Eunice Crane.

James attended schools in Salina, Utah and graduated from North Sevier High School with the class of 1959. He then attended La Salle University Extension.

He was an Army veteran serving in Germany during the Cold War. 

James married Esie Gallegos in Richfield, Utah on December 24, 1959. The marriage was later solemnized in the Vernal Utah Temple. She preceded him in death on September 15, 2019. 

He worked as a maintenance planner for Texasgulf.  

James was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, collecting guns, rock hunting and going on car rides with his wife. He cherished his time with family and friends.

Survivors include his son Kenneth L. Crane of Green River, WY; daughters Mona Hart of Green River, WY, Janet (Mark)Rawlings of Fruitland, ID; grandchildren Jennifer and Trevor Goff, Jessica Hart, Jakob Hart, Brooke and Beau Shumway, Cody Rawlings, Austin and Emily Rawlings; great-grandchildren Charlee Goff, Hartlee Goff, Aubri Shumway, Eli Shumway and Quinci Rawlings. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Esie of 60 years, parents Kenneth and Eunice Crane, brother Ronald Crane, son Jimmy Crane, and son-in-law Peter Hart. 

Cremation has taken place and private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
