Kenneth Allen Rose I Rock Springs - Kenneth Allen Rose I, 73, of Rock Springs, died Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after a lengthy illness. He was born May 23, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Herbert Rose and Arbutus Brown Rose. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. He married his first love Carol Graboski in Cloquet, Minnesota May 11, 1963. He had been employed as a truck driver in the oil fields for 35 years. He was recently working for G & J Hot Oiling Inc. and was known as Old Man. His interests were working, his family, scrapping iron, hunting, and fishing. Survivors included his wife Carol Rose of Rock Springs; sons Jeffery Alan Rose and wife Summer and Kenneth Allan Rose and wife Elaine all of Eden, and Jason Lee Rose and companion Crystal of Rock Springs; daughter Paula Marie Rose of Pocatello, Idaho; sister Sharon Olson and husband Keith of Saginaw, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; nephew Rowdy Ray Rose and several other nephews and nieces; his cat Oreo. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Arbutus Rose; brothers Duane and Roger Rose; and sister Dorothy Cornelia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, January 10, 2014 at the Sweetwater County Events Complex (Small Hall), 3320 Yellowstone Road, Rock Springs. Pastor Dean Graves will be officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at the complex. Interment will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
