Patricia May Fenton McWhorter Farson - Patricia May Fenton McWhorter, 86, of Farson died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at her home in Farson. She was born January 25, 1928 in Green River, Wyoming, the daughter of Lee Boyd Fenton and Eva Marie Jordan Fenton. She attended schools in Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the class of 1945. She married Virgil McWhorter June 12, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death Aril 1, 1912. She worked as a registered nurse in various hospitals for many years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her interests were her family, gardening, and reading. Survivors include her sons Richard Lee McWhorter and wife Phyllis of Sinclair, Wyoming, Steven Virgil McWhorter and wife Berna of Rock Springs, and John Patrick McWhorter of Jamestown, Wyoming; daughters Janice Mines and husband Rodney and Cathy Bird and husband Kenneth all of Farson; brother-in-law Larry Davis of Vallejo, California; sister-in-law Arlene Fenton of West Valley City, Utah; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 7 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil McWhorter, son Brent McWhorter, brother James Fenton, sister Marilyn Davis and granddaughter Kayla McWhorter. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Farson LDS Chapel, Farson, Wyoming where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment will take place in the Eden Valley Cemetery, Farson.
