Green River - Ralph Hokanson Dana, 53, of Jamestown died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born August 24, 1950 in Afton, Wyoming, the son of Irwin and Delila Hokanson Dana. He attended schools in Thayne, Wyoming and Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the class of 1968. Ralph married Ellen Simpson in Greystone, Colorado on December 20, 1969. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He had been a volunteer fireman for the Green River Fire Department. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His interest were hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling and the outdoors. Survivors include two sons, Justin Ross Dana of Rawlins, and Austin Cody Taylor of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Tonya Rae Triplett of Mountain View, WY, and Brandie Marie Dana of Rawlins; one brother, Reed Owen Dana of Green River; four sisters, Ann Bruce of Green River, Dorene Deardorf of Womac, Oregon, Vicky Reed of Vernal, Utah, and Julie Miller of Rock Springs; seven grandchildren, Bailey and Aubree Smith, Katelyn, Basil and Riata Triplett, Clayton Dana and Ellie Dupree. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at the Green River LDS Church, 1000 W. 4th N. in Green River. Interment with military honors will take place at the Thayne Cemetery in Thayne, Wyoming. Fox Funeral Home, Rock Springs, funeral directors.
