Wanda Jean Brown

Green River – Wanda Jean Brown, 77, died Monday July 26, 2004 at Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River, Wyoming. Wanda was born August 22, 1928 in Grand Junction, Colorado the daughter of Jesse T. and Frances Lloyd Hagerman. She attended Mt. Lincoln Elementary, Campon Academy, and she graduated from Grand Junction High School with the class of 1945. On September 15, 1946 she married Orley G. Brown Jr. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1998. She lived in California for twenty years, moving to Colorado in 1966. She moved to Green River, Wyoming in 1968 where she lived for four years and returned in 1998. She had also lived in Hayden, and Grand Valley area Colorado She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her interests included her family, knitting, crocheting, fishing, and camping. Survivors include one daughter, Jeanna O. Steadman and husband Mike of Green River, Wyoming; two grandchildren, Michael T. Steadman of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Daniel A. Steadman of Woodstock, Georgia; one aunt and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Orley G. Brown Jr., her parents Jesse and Frances Hagerman, two brothers, one sister, one aunt, two uncles and many special pets. Funeral services and interment will be in Palisade, Colorado.
