William E. Morris Jr. Rock Springs - William E. Morris Jr., 90, of Rock Springs, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Mission of Castle Rock Rehabilitation Center in Green River. He was born November 5, 1925 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of William E. Morris and Cora Hester Morris. He married Irma “Dixie” Cook February 23, 1943 in Rawlins, Wyoming. They divorced August 1971. He was employed as a welder in Rawlins and Riverton over a 19 year time span. He then moved to Lakewood, Colorado in 1966 where he worked as a welding teacher at Lakewood Community College. He spent 15 years in California and Texas before moving to Rock Springs 8 years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His interests were reading, puzzles, and fixing antique clocks. Survivors include his daughter Victoria Moran and husband Matt of Rock Springs; sister June Whitey from California; grandchildren, William “Bill” Ulibarri and wife Heather of Colorado Springs, and Michael “Mike” Trujillo of Rock Springs, Odel Wadleigh, and Christy Morris both of Denver, Colorado; great-grandchildren Mandy, Zach, Matt, Thomas, Tristin, Roslyn, Kylie, Brianna, Kindra, Aubrey and Tyler; great-great-grandchildren Ember and Moises. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Cora Morris, son Kevin Lee Morris, and grandson Thomas Trujillo. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Private memorial services will be held.
